In August 2012, in collaboration with the Life Sciences Outreach Program at Harvard, we held a 2 day workshop on “Neuroscience and Mental Health” for a group of 20 local high school science teachers. This workshop included basic and clinical lectures, small group lab tours, and two hands-on lab activities: (1) an electron microscopy image reconstruction session and (2) a session hosted by Backyard Brains, featuring the building of “Spiderbox” kits for electrophysiology.
